The COMTEK AT-216 Personal FM Assistive Listening System comes in a very
practical carry case. The system is completely self-contained. The owner of the
system has total control, and is not dependent on anyone
for maintenance or hygiene issues. The system is completely battery powered and can
be taken
anywhere. The user simply gives the wireless transmitter to any presenter,
teacher, work associate or friend who they wish to hear. The system is also
extremely versatile and can be used to listen to other sound sources such as TV
or audio from a facility's soundboard. You can even simultaneously monitor and
record presentations for later
review (requires CB-48AT adapter cord
and recorder
- not included).
Speech clarity and noise reduction
The AT-216 wireless auditory assistance kit is
an extended-fidelity FM
system bringing out speech clarity like never before. Incorporating special
noise reduction circuitry to increase the speech clarity of the FM signal,
this system is specially designed to take advantage of today's digital
hearing aid technology. A higher signal-to-noise ratio plus a higher
frequency response of the FM signal work together to maximize the
performance of hearing aids, cochlear implants, and earphones. Available
with Enviro-Mic and Smart Mic options for classroom use.

Personal FM System Options
AT-216 with PR-216
Receiver Enviro-Mic:
Enviro-Mic on the PR-216 receiver provides local environmental sound in addition to audio received from the
M-216 transmitter.
Enviro-Mic has its own on/off switch on the back of the
receiver.
AT-216 with PR-216 Receiver Smart-Mic:
Smart-Mic on the PR-216 receiver provides
local environmental sound in addition to audio received from the M-216
transmitter. However, Smart-Mic is designed for classroom use, automatically prioritizing
audio from the M-216 transmitter over local environmental sounds. This
feature is intended for use in educational environments where it is
assumed that it is most important that the listener/student hears the
comments of the teacher wearing the M-216 transmitter.
Smart-Mic has its
own on/off switch on the back of the receiver.
M-216
Transmitter Mute Switch:
Option 1: Microphone Mute Switch
Option 1 enhances the M-216 transmitter
with a separate microphone muting switch (right side of control panel)
allowing the auxiliary input program (AUX input socket - left side of
control panel) to remain on.
TM-10
Conference Table Microphone Adapter
The TM-10
conference table microphone adapter adds a new dimension to the
versatile AT-216 personal assistive listening system. Simply inserting the
clip-on lapel microphone into the TM-10 transforms the microphone into a
table-top conference microphone, adding even more functionality to the
system. The TM-10 conference table microphone adapter is included with the
AT-216 Personal FM System.

HH-185 Handheld Unidirectional Boom Microphone
The HH-185 microphone boom allows the M-216
transmitter to be used as a handheld wireless microphone. It may be passed
around in a group setting or held in the hand and pointed at the desired
sound source. The gain control on the M-216 transmitter allows the user to
adjust the sensitivity of the microphone. The HH-185 may also be used with
the PR-216 Option 2P microphone input to selectively point to a sound source
in a group setting. The HH-185 handheld unidirectional boom microphone is
an optional accessory and is not included with the AT-216 Personal FM
System.
